LaShawnda Jones is passionate about connecting people, organizations, and resources to create meaningful impact where it’s most needed. She believes information and access prepare people for opportunities. She works at the intersection of workforce development, transportation, and community partnership to help remove barriers preventing people from helping, and providing for, themselves.

As a project and program professional with over twenty years of experience leading complex initiatives, creating processes and workflows across corporate, legal, publishing and non-profit sectors, LaShawnda has become a trusted partner for stakeholder engagement and executive communications. In her current role as Assistant Project Manager for MobiliSE, Inc., LaShawnda oversees the FlexRide Milwaukee program. FlexRide is a workforce transportation service committed to filling gaps between public transportation and employment opportunities in the suburbs surrounding Metro Milwaukee.

LaShawnda has also been at the table since the formation of Transit is Milwaukee, MobiliSE’s offshoot transit advocacy committee. She functions as the committee’s Sub-Committee Chair of Community Outreach and Organizing, which relies on the volunteerism of the full committee and community members.

As a former Program Management Analyst and Senior Executive Assistant with Citigroup, Inc., LaShawnda has extensive experience supporting senior executive leadership, managing cross-functional programs and driving process improvements across global organizations. In the non-profit sector LaShawnda has worked on projects with the Pieper Foundation, the Urban League of Greater Milwaukee, and A Woman’s Harvest, Inc. Recently, she completed HPGM’s (nka Ascénto’s) Board Pipeline Initiative. LaShawnda was a longtime volunteer for the Legal Clinic for the Homeless, and is currently volunteering with Voces de la Frontera, and the United Way’s Speaker’s Bureau for their fundraising campaign season.
