claire enders
Claire Enders (she/her) is a non-driver and public transit enthusiast. Having never owned a vehicle, she gets around by biking, walking, and taking public transit. She believes these are the best ways to experience a city, whether you are a resident or a visitor. While living in South Korea for five years, she was fortunate to experience one of the most efficient public transportation systems in the world. In 2022, she returned to her hometown of Milwaukee to get a Master’s in Urban Planning from UW-Milwaukee. One of the biggest culture shocks she experienced upon her return was how time consuming and limiting it is to rely on public transit. This led her to focus on transportation during her graduate studies. Since completing her Master’s in May 2024, she has served as the Transportation Coordinator for Milwaukee County Aging and Disabilities Services. In this role, she connects older adults with transportation services and advocates for the mobility needs of older adults and people with disabilities. Claire believes that convenient, safe, efficient, and accessible transportation for all is a right, not a privilege.
